35 MARS ROVERS and observing probable traces of sediments formed as a result of the action of the water, Curiosity set off towards Glenelg, the first planned objective of its mission and a geo- logically interesting site due it being the confluence of three dif- ferent types of land. It was enough to cover only about 50 of the 500 meters that separated Goulburn from Glenelg to reach a site, called Link, characterized by the presence of a rock spur with inclusions of gravel and pebbles, whose origin can only be traced back to the flow of water. At that point, Curiosity ad- vanced further to look for even more obvious traces of a remote hy- drological structure. After traveling another 60 meters, it reached a sec- ond spur of rock, called “Hottah”,
